'No, you're not!' - Dani Dyer reveals fears for Jarrod Bowen's stag do as father Danny confirms cheeky X-rated plan ahead of West Ham star's wedding
A family disagreement has erupted between Dani Dyer and her father Danny over what's appropriate for her fiancé Jarrod Bowen's upcoming stag party, with the West Ham star's pre-wedding celebrations becoming the subject of a heated debate on their podcast.
During the latest episode of 'Live and Let Dyers', the father-daughter duo found themselves in a spirited discussion about the potential inclusion of strippers at Bowen's last night of freedom. The conversation began innocently enough with Dani explaining the timeline for their respective hen and stag celebrations when Danny suddenly exclaimed "strippers!" - immediately triggering his daughter's disapproval.
What followed was a fascinating exchange about gender politics and what Danny described as hypocrisy in attitudes toward male and female sexuality. The former EastEnders star accused women of "sexism at its height" when Dani attempted to justify her own participation in a naked life drawing class during a friend's hen party.
"We had to draw him, we had to draw the naked man. It's different, it's so different. I don't care," Dani explained, referring to an experience at a friend's hen party that involved a male model.
Danny was quick to challenge this apparent double standard: "It's sexism this, this is sexism at its height ladies and gentleman."
When Dani tried to explain the difference, describing how the male model "was literally standing there in his apron and then you had to draw him. Then he turns around and straddles the chair," her father remained unconvinced.
"Okay so this is fine because you're a woman but God forbid a group of men, I know it seems a bit more aggressive and a bit more odd, have a stripper who's a woman," Danny pressed. "Would you rather we had the butler in the buff?"
The former Love Island star, who has been in a relationship with the West Ham forward since 2021, clearly has reservations about certain traditional stag party activities as her wedding to Bowen approaches.
Danny Dyer, who recently featured on Goal's Front Three while promoting his new film Marching Powder, seems determined to ensure his future son-in-law enjoys a proper send-off into married life - whether his daughter approves or not.
The couple's wedding plans continue to develop, with the timing of their respective pre-wedding celebrations now apparently including some contentious entertainment choices that have divided the Dyer household.
