Annie Kilner and Kyle Walker Working on Their Marriage Despite Challenges
Annie Kilner remains "far from happy" with Manchester City footballer Kyle Walker, but the couple appears to be making efforts to rebuild their troubled marriage, according to recent reports.
The childhood sweethearts, who wed in November 2021, hit a significant roadblock when divorce proceedings were initiated in August 2024. This followed revelations that Walker had fathered a second child with former Love Island contestant Lauryn Goodman, prompting a serious crisis in their relationship.
Walker, who faces potentially losing half of his estimated £27 million ($35 million) fortune if the divorce proceeds, has been making attempts to save his marriage. In a significant move, he agreed to a loan transfer to AC Milan from Manchester City, hoping that a fresh start in Italy might help heal their relationship.
Despite the geographical distance, there are signs that reconciliation efforts may be bearing fruit. In a notable development, Kilner has used her married name for the first time in a business venture. A social media post revealed that she is fronting a luxury jewelry range, with the announcement reading: "Demure. Founded by Annie Walker & Sophie Haynes."
However, the path to reconciliation hasn't been entirely smooth. After Walker was spotted on a night out with two women in Milan, tensions reportedly flared. A source told The Sun: "Annie was far from happy and made her feelings clear. Kyle denies anything went on and says he was asked to give the girls a lift. He's clearly put himself in a difficult situation given his reputation. It's the lack of thought for Annie and how it might look that has caused the upset."
Despite these bumps in the road, the source suggests that the couple is currently "in the best position" they have been for some time. They are reportedly working on "establishing themselves as a brand" both on and off the football pitch.
"Kyle's move to Italy has given the family time to take stock," the source added. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder and it'll either bring them closer together or confirm what many around them have thought for a long time."
Kilner has made several trips to Italy to visit Walker, suggesting ongoing efforts to maintain their connection despite the challenges. Walker has one more game with Milan – against Cesc Fabregas' Como on Saturday – before the March international break. If England's new manager Thomas Tuchel doesn't select him for international duty, Walker will have free time to spend with Kilner and their four children, who have yet to permanently relocate from the United Kingdom.
As the couple navigates this difficult period, all eyes remain on whether their marriage can survive the very public challenges they've faced over the past year.
