Christian Pulisic has admitted "there was a bit of luck" in his crucial equalizer that sparked AC Milan's impressive comeback win against Como at San Siro. The U.S. international found the net in the 53rd minute before Tijjani Reijnders secured the winner, completing a 2-1 victory after Como had taken an early lead through Da Cunha in the 33rd minute.
This marks the second consecutive match where the Rossoneri have fought back from a deficit to claim all three points, following their previous comeback against Lecce.
"It was two different games in the first and second half. That's normal for us this season. We struggled a lot in the first half but changed things up and did well in the second half," Pulisic reflected in his postgame interview.
When asked about his equalizer, the American star revealed: "Instinct. I really didn't see the net, I had no clue where the net was but I turned and took it. There was a bit of luck."
The goal continues Pulisic's exceptional form this season, marking his third goal in two matches. His tally now stands at nine goals in Serie A and an impressive 15 across all competitions, firmly establishing him as a key figure in Milan's squad.
The victory has bolstered Milan's position in the league table, moving them up to seventh place and narrowing the gap to just five points behind fourth-placed Juventus.
Looking ahead, Milan face a challenging schedule as they prepare to travel to Naples to face second-placed Napoli before hosting city rivals Internazionale in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semifinal. These crucial fixtures are scheduled for March 31 and April 3 respectively at the San Siro.
