Real Betis are eager to extend Manchester United winger Antony's stay in Spain following his impressive start to life in LaLiga, with club CEO Ramón Alarcón expressing optimism about a potential deal for the 2025-26 season.
The Brazilian forward, who joined Betis on loan last month until the end of the current season, has already made a significant impact at his new club, earning MVP honors in both of his appearances and finding the back of the net against Celta Vigo last weekend.
Prior to his move to Spain, the 24-year-old had limited opportunities at Old Trafford, featuring in just 13 of United's 32 matches across all competitions this season. Despite this, Antony remains under contract with the Red Devils until June 2027, with an option for an additional year.
Speaking to Cadena Ser radio about the possibility of extending Antony's loan spell, Alarcón was notably enthusiastic, stating, "Yes, I think so. It is a possibility, why not?"
The relationship between the two clubs appears to be flourishing, with Betis taking a professional approach to managing United's asset. Alarcón revealed that United's CEO recently expressed gratitude for Betis's detailed reporting on Antony's progress, highlighting the Spanish club's commitment to maintaining transparent communication.
"There is a very good chemistry with United and with the player, who is happy here," Alarcón explained. "I got a call from Manchester United's CEO the other day thanking me as we had sent them a detailed report done by our coaches of Antony, which included information of his performance and a summary of his week. They hadn't received that from the other clubs where they have players on loan. They can see that we are looking after their asset because Antony belongs to Manchester United."
This professional approach and positive relationship between the clubs could prove crucial in negotiations for extending Antony's stay in Seville beyond the current season.
