'Ted Lasso' Season 4 Appears Imminent as Jason Sudeikis Plans to "Expand" the Beloved Series
Leading members of the "Ted Lasso" cast and crew have expressed excitement about AFC Richmond's return to Apple TV+ streaming services. Jason Sudeikis, the writer and the man behind the iconic mustache of the affable American coach, is reportedly fully committed to continuing the series.
Sudeikis is prepared to "reboot" the award-winning show, with rumors suggesting that Lasso could be reintroduced to global audiences as the coach of a women's team. This shift would create opportunities for fresh storylines and new characters.
Ellie Taylor, who portrays Flo "Sassy" Collins in the series, shared her thoughts with the Daily Mail regarding the long-awaited return: "I've heard that apparently, maybe there is going to be a series four. It would be lovely if there was because everyone loves the Ted Lasso universe, so I wonder if there's room for that to expand or grow or continue in some way."
Taylor expressed her gratitude for being part of such a widely cherished show, stating, "I feel so lucky to be part of such a beloved show. Rarely are you part of something that means so much to so many people. It came out over lockdown and entertainment was so important to all of us and it became this uncynical bit of joy. The latest series was a few years ago and people still want to talk to me about it like it was out last week."
The third season of "Ted Lasso" concluded in May 2023. According to reports, production for the new season is scheduled to begin in late spring or early summer of 2025. While there has been no official announcement regarding which cast members will reprise their beloved roles or when exactly the show will return, fans can once again "believe" that Ted Lasso is making a comeback.
