'Humble' Endrick Making Strides at Real Madrid Despite Limited Minutes
UFC star Charles Oliveira has backed Real Madrid's Brazilian wonderkid Endrick to "make history" despite the teenager's limited playing time since joining the Spanish giants.
The 18-year-old forward, who arrived at Madrid last summer following standout performances for Palmeiras in Brazil, has experienced a measured introduction to European football. While he has made 28 appearances across all competitions, Endrick has yet to start a La Liga match and has been named in the starting XI just once in the Champions League.
Despite these limited opportunities, former UFC lightweight champion Oliveira remains impressed by his compatriot's progress and character.
"It's hard to say where somebody is going to be or how big this player is going to be in the future. We don't know the future. But Endrick is playing very well," Oliveira told Oddspedia. "He used to play in Palmeiras and I watched him play a couple of times, I also had the chance to meet him in the US when he was playing for the national team. He is very humble and I have nothing but respect for him. I hope he goes on to make history."
Real Madrid's management continues to show faith in Endrick's potential, viewing his current situation as part of a long-term development plan. The club's measured approach with the young striker hasn't diminished his standing on the international stage, as he was recently called up to the Brazil national team as a replacement for the injured Neymar for World Cup qualifying matches against Colombia and Argentina.
Endrick's journey at the Santiago Bernabéu represents a significant transition period as he adapts to the demands of European football while carrying the weight of expectations that come with being one of Brazil's most promising young talents.
