West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen has his sights set on an unexpected post-football career path, according to his fiancée Dani Dyer, who revealed the England international's ambitions to become a gaming streamer.
The 28-year-old Hammers skipper, who still has plenty of football ahead of him, is already planning for life after hanging up his boots. While many former players traditionally gravitate toward punditry or management roles, Bowen appears to have a different vision for his future.
Speaking on the 'Live and Let Dyers' podcast, Dani Dyer shared her partner's surprising career aspirations: "He wants to be a streamer. He wants to be a gamer. He wants to play games and sit in a den all day and streaming sh*t. He loves all streamers. And he wants to own his own coffee shop."
This revelation comes as Danny Dyer, Dani's father, dismissed the possibility of his future son-in-law pursuing a career in punditry, suggesting Bowen's interests lie elsewhere. While gaming and coffee shop ownership might seem like an unconventional path for a professional footballer, it reflects the changing landscape of post-sporting careers in the digital age.
For now, though, Bowen remains focused on his immediate responsibilities, both on and off the field. The West Ham captain is committed to finishing the 2024-25 season strongly, while also preparing for his upcoming summer wedding. Dani Dyer has previously expressed her desire to spend more time with Bowen, who currently maintains a demanding professional schedule, but it seems his future endeavors might keep him just as busy, albeit in a very different way.
