Matheus Cunha, Wolves forward, has been handed an additional one-match ban and fined £50,000 following his actions during Wolverhampton Wanderers' FA Cup exit against Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old Brazilian striker admitted to a charge of improper conduct after receiving a red card for his altercation with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez in the final minute of extra time. During the incident, Cunha lashed out at the Hungarian left-back three times and had to be escorted down the tunnel after his dismissal.
This disciplinary action comes on top of the automatic three-match suspension Cunha already faced for violent conduct. With this additional ban, he will now miss four games in total, including the upcoming Premier League fixture against Ipswich Town on April 5.
Cunha will not be eligible to return to action until Wolves host Tottenham Hotspur on April 13.
This is not the first time Cunha has faced disciplinary issues this season. In January, he served a two-game suspension after an incident involving a member of Ipswich's security staff. Following Ipswich's 2-1 victory at Molineux in December, Cunha grabbed the security member's glasses from his face.
The loss of Cunha for an extended period represents a significant blow to Wolves' campaign as they navigate the final stretch of the Premier League season.
